In October 2017 Women's Legal Service Victoria were engaged to deliver a condensed one day version of the 'Safe and Protected: Multi-disciplinary response to family violence' training program in regional Victoria. The program was first delivered in Melbourne in October 2016 and aims to improve practitioner's skills and knowledge in responding to the complexities of family violence within the Family Division, to achieve a shared understanding of roles in responding to family violence and to collaborate to improve outcomes for vulnerable families.
This program has been delivered in Geelong (October 2017), Bendigo (November 2017) and Shepparton (November 2017), Ballarat (February 2018) and Traralgon (February 2018).
Women's Legal Service Victoria also delivered an intensive program on developing skills in working with victims and perpetrators of family violence. This program was delivered as a one-day program in Melbourne on 16 March 2018 and as a twilight series on 7, 14, 21 and 28 March 2018.
